I've heard this opinion many times, and of course, you have a point, BUT I
believe sometimes CREATION is itself the point (not necessarily expression)
and have even erased over my recorded songs (that I was completely pleased
with) or destroyed paintings/drawings after completion because the creation
process WAS THE POINT. But now I'm talking apples vs. oranges aren't I?
Value returned?

I get so freaked Stewart, when you say something I totally agree with (like
the above.) Myracle Brah leaves me with the exact same feeling after
listening to the Rooney disc...empty. Not to say I don't hear talent,
because I do, just....oh hell, I'm not a writer....nothing interesting. On
the flipside, I'm still playing The Shins' Oh, Inverted World and both New
Pornographers discs every couple of days. hmmmm.....

EXACTLY the same boat here, 'cept my boat floats in SoCal not Co.

Listening to a batch of XTC and the Dukes disc here today. Wasn't
interested in the 'most recent' XTC favorites thread at the time it reared
it's head. Gonna have to check the archives now that I am.

Oh, and for offering up new music, I'm really enjoying the newest Ziggy
Marley disc with help from the Chili Pepper guys I hear(?) Ziggy's coming
into his own quite nicely, I'm thinking.
