I had the same thing happen with the Bangles "Doll Revolution" CD - it wanted
to "update some files", so I canceled the install process and started up my
old
CD Player appilcation on Windows 98SE (which loads quicker than Microcrap
Media
Player) and the disk played fine. Im just afraid that one of the "big boys"
future CD's wont have an opt-out feature. The best thing to do is disable
autostart on your CD-Rom drive. But I use Easy CD Creator Pro and the damn
program MUST have it enabled so it can use Direct CD for CD-RW.

Im starting to get tired of "Enhanced CD's" that load up first with bonus
videos, shockwave graphics, links to websites, ads for other artists, etc. It
makes me just want to RIP the whole CD to Mp3 the first time around and never
put the thing in my computer again. I hope NONE of Not Lame's future CD's have
these wonderful features in the future.

PS I admire your guts for writing that kind of review.

Billy
