I have to agree with Sam. When the shit hits the fan, I have seen people
duck their heads, zip their lips and say "yes" to everything in an effort to
not get tossed. They don't speak up, they don't rock the boat, they don't
try anything new...they just morph into a cube rat and hope they become
invisible so they can keep getting that paycheck. Those who swin against the
tide and buck convention are seen as a threat to the "stability" of the
machine. Sounds like the music industry to me.
Of course, as a jettisoned employee, I might just be a bitter guy. :)
