yes they do. i believe they are legally obliged to.
in France at the moment, there is a class action suit underway
against the labels.
there is a warning sticker on the front of the cd and there is
another technical box (next to the bar code) of
info on the back, like software ("this requires such and such an
operating system, etc")
as far as i know, only Europe/Australia & Canada are making copy protected cds.
as far as i know, the US labels are holding out for the next version
of the copy protection software which will
address a lot of the problems the other countries are experiencing...
