The other Dead joke:
Q: What did one Deadhead say to the other when they ran out of dope?
A: "Man, this band SUCKS!"
Can also be applied to Phish, String Cheese Incident, Widespread
Panic, etc.
Oh, the FoW show in DC was totally aces. Not dynamic performers like
the Shazam or SJ*UK, but just grinding out the hits, back to back to
back. Chris actually wore a Phish t-shirt (to tie together the two
threads of this post).
It was great to see the Audities folks there (Sherm, Donna, Cliff,
Gail, etc).
Wow, the 9:30 club sure has great shows come through there. I think I
saw the capacity is 1200. Kinda of like a mini coliseum. I guess it's
more like the Bayou was in my DC living days. The old 9:30 was kinda
small... 250 - 300 cap. I have fond memories of seeing Husker Du,
the Buzzcocks, Let's Active, the dB's and more there.
