Jack Johnson makes what would probably be contemporary surf music. Not
derivative of the Beach Boys or Jan and Dean; more like, he's a surfer dude
who makes music and surfs. His first album was supposedly better than his
second.
Also, the original requestr mentioned Foskett; did you mention Jeff Larson?
