Rick-
There are two sections of town with some semi-decent indie/used stores: The University District and Capitol Hill. U district is just north of downtown off I-5. Go west on 45th St and a few blocks down is University Avenue. Cellophane Square (a Djangos property) and a Tower are right there and a couple others up and down or just off the main drag. BTW, that Tower has a respectable used section as well. For vinyl there is also a Golden Oldies on 45th, a couple blocks west of I-5 on 45th also.
There is another Cellophane Square in Capitol Hill section. Broadway and Pike are cross streets in the general vicinity as I recall. Troll Broadway and ask the Cellophane square folks about others. There is a really good vinyl spot whose name I can't recall just off Broadway. Unfortunately, this town has nothing quite as cool as an Ameoba, Rasputins, Arons, Rhino, Reckless....
Haven't paid attention to shows as I'll be CD shopping in Chicago myself starting tomorrow....

Some friends and I are going on a road trip to Seattle
this weekend. We have never been there before, and I
would definitely appreciate anyone's input on which
record stores I should hit while there. Any cool shows
there in the next few days too??
