Some "musicologists" (Isn't that what we are? I guess they get to wear
labcoats.) are now claiming that Sir Paul nicked Yesterday from a Nat
King Cole hit called "Answer Me, My Love".

Unexplained is why it took these "music experts" almost 40 years to make
the connection.
I downloaded a midi file of the Nat King Cole song. I don't see ANY
similarity between the melodies or chord structure of the two songs. The
three lines is question are strikingly similar, however.
Also, I haven't seen this anywhere, but Sir Paul owns the rights to four
songs co-written by "Answer Me" lyricist Carl Sigman. But not the song
he is accused of pillaging.
