I have a little item that HP has now discontinued called a Digital
Entertainment Center. It's essentially a small Linux computer in a
stereo unit-like cabinet, designed to do just that - serve MP3s
to a normal stereo setup. I've got 40Gb of MP3s on it, and it plays
my private radio station all day. It also has net connectivity and
plays Internet radio stations, and reads/writes CDs. Pretty cool.
