Thanks....but, to be historically accurate, unlike The USA, Canada has never
achieved Independence (we're still umbilically attached to England as part
of the Commonwealth). July 1st celebrates the birth of Canada as a unified
nation whereby Upper And Lower Canada decided to kiss and make up after
blowing raspberries across the St. Lawrence River at each other for about 75
years. Interestingly, that was 1867...shortly after the North and South of
the US decided to stop blowing the crap out of each other.
