Most oldies DJ's and Motown fans in the USA use "Martha Reeves and the
Vandellas" because most of Motown's oldies compilations and reissues have used
her full name. Motown added "Reeves" somewhere around 1967-8, about the same
time they added "Diana Ross" to The Supremes records.

If I ever sorted out my record collection (which would take months - maybe
years) all my Four Seasons LP's would be filed together with or without with
Frankie Valli's name at the top. Then again I might file all my Beatles solo
records separately.

To me it's just a matter of personal preferance if you want to file solo and
offshoot albums with the groups main records.
