Absolutely! Even planning on picking up his book
about the Smiths' album Meat is Murder when it's
released.
After I sent out that e-mail to audities, I thought,
you know, he was right-- it definitely has a West
Coast guitar vibe to it. Speaking of the West Coast,
for any auditeers in the San Francisco area, the
Pernice Brothers are playing in SF and Berkeley this
weekend, and I believe Warren Zanes is opening for
those dates. Definitely a show worth checking out.
By the way, if you look up Joe Pernice's book of
poetry, Two Blind Pigeons on amazon.com (which isn't
actually currently available), there's something they
recommend under the "if you're interested in this you
should check out this" category. Cracked my ass up.
Hope Joe has seen it-- he's a funny guy and he'd get a
laugh out of it.
