I've been listening to the new CD by The Swimming Pool Q's, called Royal
Academy Of Reality. It's one of the most compelling discs I've heard so far
this year, and very difficult for me to succintly describe. Some of its 20
(!) songs remind me of, of all things, Bob Welch-penned/sung Fleetwood Mac
tunes, others remind me of the current band Epicycle, some are psychedelic,
some are vaguely Beatlesque, some are funky, etc, etc, etc..and it's all
good!

I'd been aware of the band ever since they sprung on the scene in the '80s,
but had never heard any of their material until now.

The CD is on Bar None. www.bar-none.com

Are any Auditeers longtime fans of this band?
