This is my birthday song. That is to say, this is the song that was
#1 on the *Billboard* chart on the day that I was born ... August 10, 1961.
It's a fun, bouncy R&B number, but I probably enjoy it out of proportion to
its' musical values due to the song's personal significance for me.

I used to amuse my friends by asking them what day they were born,
and then looking up their birthday song in my *Billboard* reference book. It
was funny to see some of them get excited about having cool birthday songs
such as "Groovin'" or "Hey Jude" or "My Sharona", while others were
crestfallen to find that theirs were "You Light Up My Life" or "Winchester
Cathedral".

Does anybody else know his or her birthday song?

	Gregory Sager
