I loved this band!!! Still love to listen to those albums and I have to agree with
Greg that Attention Shoppers and Collesium Rock are very poppy. I found Attention Shoppers
on CD awhile ago in a used bin for 5 bucks. I also have a 2 disc set of Starz I made from
MP3s. Would be more than happy to burn a copy if you want.
The guitar player Ritchie Ranno used to show up at Record Collection Convention up here in
Dutchess County. Got to talk to him a few times, real nice guy. Had RnR memorbilia from Starz and
other bands from that time.
Personally I have always felt Starz got lost in the shuffle when the first album was released.
while they looked like a metal band they played a early brand of the hairmetal/pop-metal sound.
I remember buying three albums one Saturday at Igor's Records. Heart's Dreamboat Annie, Boston's
debut and Starz self-titled debut. Pretty hard to compete with those 2 debuts.
