I got to really side with you on this one.  quite a bit of grace.

I have said, to anyone who would listen, on more than one occasion, 
that this is one of the saddest songs I've ever heard.  That quoted 
lyric chokes me up whenever I sing it at Karaoke.  I also am 
extremely moved by the line

	"but as if to cut me down, reality came around, and without 
so much as a mere touch cut me into little pieces, leaving me to 
doubt talk about god and his mercy, for if he really does exist, then 
why did he desert me?"

It is so awesome.

My cheesiest lyrics ever are Paul Simon's "Dangling Conversation" 
Yichh.  college kids....
