Firsts:

LP - very possibly "Urban Chipmunk." I'd much rather it was "Chipmunk
Punk," to add just that little edge of street credibility (if that's even
possible when you're discussing albums by the Chipmunks), but, no, I'm
pretty sure it was "Urban Chipmunk." Dammit.

45 - I think it was Queen's "Another One Bites The Dust." But my memory is
uncertain, and it's possible that that particular single might've been my
sister's. I'm pretty sure "Pac-Man Fever," by Buckner & Garcia, still
haunts my parents' house as well, which was surely one of the earlier
purchases as well.

8-track - I've only ever bought one, and it was "Saturday Night Fever." And
I didn't have an 8-track player when I bought it; I just thought it was
kitschy to own it on 8-track.

Cassette - I've narrowed it down to three: Michael Jackson, "Thriller," Def
Leppard, "Pyromania," or Men At Work's "Cargo." Not sure which actually
came first, though.

CD - The Icicle Works, "If You Want To Defeat Your Enemy, Sing His Song"

Lasts:

LP - Robyn Hitchcock, "Mossy Liquor" (was this ever released on CD?)

45 - Suede, "The Drowners" (which I have autographed by the Bernard Butler
line-up of the band)

8-track - see "Firsts"

Cassette - Soundtrack to "Xanadu," bought at a thrift store a few weeks ago
for my wife as a kitschy little gift.

CD - Guster, "Keep It Together"
