I remember many treasured albums from growing up, but it's hard to recall
which ones I, myself, purchased. I mean, I listened to Jesus Christ
Superstar and Innervisions and Tom Jones: Close Up almost nonstop...but I
did not buy them myself. I was only about three then...
So here are the first ones I *think* I purchased myself:
*1977: Leo Sayer, Endless Flight (Cassette)
Didn't really make me feel like dancing.
*1980: Rossington Collins Band, Anytime, Anyplace, Anywhere (LP)
I was a pre-teen Skynyrd-head.
*1980: Blue Oyster Cult, Cultosaurus Erectus (LP)
Coolest Jacket art of all time, I thought then. "Black Blade" is one of the
greatest rock songs of all time.
*1980: Pink Floyd, The Wall (Cassette)
I went to sleep every night with it playing on my walkman.
*1982: Asia, s/t
I found myself in '82
