Greetings. When I was a kid I was very enterprising. Lol! My grandmother
had a saying "if it's not nailed down he'll try and sell it"!
I used to have a sales route before school each morning and I used to sell
stuff that my dad used to leave behind in the basement (he was involved with a
sales firm and used to bring home samples and seconds).
I used to take my money each week and go to The Record Shop in Waterbury, Ct
(which was run by a woman with an awesomely big beehive hairdo) and buy an
album a week.
I remember the first record that I actually bought with my own money being
Led Zeppelin 2. It was about 1975 which made me 10!
When I was younger my parents supplied me with my Beatles and Rolling Stones
records.
You might say that I began my record collecting career while I was in the
crib.
It's all been downhill from there....
