I never really wanted to go the 45 route so my first record was Midnight
Ride by Paul Revere and the Raiders. And after that, it was the Raider's
Just Like Us. Most people forget that the Raiders were featured everyday
on Dick Clark's 'Where the Action Is' TV show - strategically shown
right after school for impressionable minds like mine. Back to the
records, my goal in life was to have 12 LPs so I could stack them all on
my parent's automatic changer in their stereo. 12 was the limit and they
still have the furniture.
Several thousand LPs/CDs later, I'm glad I never limited myself to a
dozen.
