I was 13 years old, and it was U2's "Under a Blood Red Sky," EP at the
Caldor in Torrington, Conn.
They had the world's coolest record department, circa 1983-84. It was
across the street from the restaurant my father owned, and I'd go over
there on Saturday afternoons to blow my meager allowance on LPs and
singles you had to ask for by number from a guy who stood behind a
giant wooden platform.
