I shouldnt have said that - I love the Osmonds self-produced and band written
albums like "Crazy Horses" and "The Plan". The first ROCK album I bought was
the Who's "Meaty Beaty Big & Bouncy" at TG&Y (I can remember the day I bought
it!) - because I wanted a copy of "Pinball Wizard". Still the best Who
collection, IMO.
I also remember going to Thrifty Drug in Goleta (in the same strip mall TG&Y
was) where they had thousands of cut-out albums. I picked up Happy Jack and
Magic Bus for 1.99 or 2.99. I also remember buying Peter & Gordon's first
album
there after hearing "A World Without Love" on the radio.
My first Metal album? - The Sweet: "Desolation Boulevard".
