I don't know if I'd call him a hick, seeing as he grew up less than 10
minutes from a city of 400,000, but Mr. Eaglesmith is a good songwriter yes
indeed. He has a outdoor festival every year nearby my parents' place in
Port Dover, Ontario and I've managed to make it a few times.

Yes, those reissues that came out on Poptones are very nice.
The Free Design is a lovely (also apparently from the Hamilton area)
pop/soft rock band also worth checking out. Reissues on the Spanish Siesta
label, which also has released albums by a number of newer bands that are
very good: La Beuna Vida, Girlfriendo, Death By Chocolate, etc.
