As Gary said, there's not much at all to dislike about Steve Forbert; poor
guy got tarred with that same New Dylan brush that screwed up Loudon
Wainwright III and Elliott Murphy (is there a similar death knell for a new
performer this decade?), but just about all of his albums have at least a
handful of good-to-great songs.  There's a solid compilation of his four or
five CBS albums, WHAT KINDA GUY?, that came out on Columbia Legacy about
ten years ago.
