Actually, I regard "Beach Baby" as a legitimate pop classic, and a breed
apart from those other cheesy top 10 singles. Which kinda proves your point, I'd
say.
NP (in my head): the blues arrangement I once concocted for "Afternoon
Delight," a la "I'm A Man"--"gonna find my baby (ba DA da da) gonna hold her tight
(ba DA da da) gonna grab a little (ba DA da da) afternoon delight," etc. I
believe The Kennedys once performed this version live, believe it or not
