Danny Thompson is my favorite bassist in the world - period! I've seen him
play several times and he always amazes me. In particular, his early to mid
70's work with John Martyn is sublime. I never was a huge Pentangle fan (I'm
more of a Fairport guy) but he added a lot to the band's work. He also
played on several Nick Drake tracks.
