If one presumes that most people like music that falls only within one set
of parameters, I suppose so. I'm neither agreeing or disagreeing with
Geir's analysis -- Geir may be correct. If so, this makes me wonder -- so
often, when discussing why power pop is unpopular, poster decry the sheep
like mentality of people who listen to rap or nu metal or boy bands or
whatever music that is not "mainly based on melodies, and actually quite
derivative in trying to bring back the old classic song/melody/harmony
