did someone already say "sometimes when we touch?" of
all the overemoting, drippy nastiness from that era,
that must be in the top ten.
also, i could do with never again hearing "Ebony and
Ivory," to which i was forced to perform some kind of
gawdawful modern interpretive dance thing in a high
school gym class, required only for women, i might
add, which was called MOVEMENT EDUCATION (aka,
orchesis, for those who came before me). If the
insipid nature of that song, and its ubiquitousness in
my formative years, were not enough to scar me deeply,
the memory of the jazz hands! at the "together alive!"
part would surely tip the scales in favor of ritual
hari kari, possibly using the jagged edges of the very
skippy, overplayed record that was the dusty black
instrument of my torture.
yeah, i got some issues.
there is good and bad in everyone,
