To elaborate: The Kasenatz/Katz song to which Michael referred is
"Quick Joey Small". It was a hit in 1968 for the duo's bubblegum factory on
Buddah, and was released under the band name Kasenatz-Katz Singing
Orchestral Circus. The song, which is indeed the greatest bubblegum-punk
song ever (and the second-best song ever about a jailbreak, after the Thin
Lizzy one), features the chorus, "Run, Joey, Joey, run, run / The hounds are
on your trail". Hence, the confusion with the execrable 1975 teen-tragedy
hit by David Geddes (written by Paul Vance and Perry Cone) entitled "Run
Joey Run", an awful little melodrama about a pregnant teenaged girl who
attempts to protect her boyfriend Joey from her homicidally-enraged father
and in the process is accidentally shot to death by dear old Dad. To make
things even more confusing, "Quick Joey Small" is sometimes subtitled and
listed as "Quick Joey Small (Run Joey Run)".
