A bit of bullshit Stewart. I read this and Bash's recent comments on
Nicholls (especially after David's unabashed postive raves at WYB's
rerelease) to be belated backstabbing. I've been listening to alot of
brit pop-psych over the past 7 months and very little has reached the
heights of the songs on WOULD YOU BELIEVE.

Now maybe some of the records Bob S. mentioned (Wallace Collection's
The Sea Disappeared is certainly a CLASSIC, maybe the best song of it's
kind) might be extremely special, even essential, but to slag Billy
Nicholls in an offhand manner is a low blow. Songs like Come Again,
Life Is Short, Portabello Road from WOULD YOU BELIEVE & White Lightning
from LOVE SONGS sound to be among the better concoctions of late-60's
British pop.

Re: the Aerovons, the truth has been written truthfully & accurately by
B. Segarini: second rate wannabe hackneyed material best left for
fanatic mp3 traders of so-so Beatle-psych. Don't waste your money.

But if you desire somthing different, but from the same era and locale,
how about The Bachs, The End (what a great band! cw - anyone who can
supply info on how to acquire their singles collection Retrospection
please email me!), The Gibsons, Marc Eric, Twice As Much (see The End),
current spectropop faves The Robbs (midwest replants) or my faves The
Sundowners (just-post-merseybeat? - maybe - i just luv this!).

There's alot of insanely great pop out there; just keep listening!
