hubris than I
actually have if you think I feel superior to smart, well-rounded music fans
like Mike Bennett, Anna Borg, Steve Durben, Adam Marsland, or yourself...

Hi Miles.
Thanks! Nice of you to include me in that list. That said, I must
confess to having immediate thoughts of the Sesame Street song in which they
sing "one of these things doesn't belong".
best, Steve D.
PS: Related to songs that make you want to kill. I was in Aruba months ago.
The already mentioned "Kokomo" by the Beach Boys is played every where you
turn (per the mention of "Aruba" in the song). Yikes. It's enough to make
you drop your rum.
Along the same lines of moments which make you want to kill. While in Aruba
we went to a local festival which overall was wonderful. However, it
featured an organ grinder (the "ting-a-ling" player). Stupid me, I kept
wondering when the dam monkey was gonna show up.
