Is the prevailing opinion of this list really that
Wilco is overrated and wanky?
No that is not the case. Every year Michael Bennett polls members for their
fav picks of the year. It was rated at the top or near the top for that year
by people on this list. Thus, in general I think they are highly thought of
on this list. However, like every band that gets hyped, it is not going to
be everyone's cup of tea and there will be a chorus of "I don't get it".
All of which is fine and understandable.
Personally, I think "Yankee" was swell.
