The Chevelles postpone tour dates to USA and Brazil
Unfortunately the Chevelles have had to shelve plans to tour the USA /
Brazil in July August 2003. At the last minute some of the dates fell
through making the tour not viable. the tour has been rescheduled for early
2004. the band are talking to a number of bands like Sloan and the Steven
McDonald Group about linking up for some dates in early 2004.
Girl God will send you to your favourite CD shop for a little history

Showbag! - the town we loved in!
Perth Indie pop darlings showbag! have finished recording their debut album
tentatively titled "the town we loved in". The band are on tour in
Australia during July August with legendary US band the Mountain Goats
their album will be released throiugh our distribution partners Shellshock
(UK), Dock 9Spain) Sound Pollution (Sweden) and Wizzards in Vinyl (Japan)
plus MGM in Australia

Pop Scenes from Perth Making waves!
Pop Scenes from Perth is a new compilation of great pop bands from Perth
Australia. It includes tracks from The Chevelles, Showbag!, Mink! (ex
Neptunes, marigolds), Superscope, Team Jedi, Cartman plus more . The album
continues to get great response overseas and in Australia and is available

Anna by Anna Waronker comes to Australia
Zip records is proud to announce it's first international signing in
Australia. It's the new album by ex That Dog lead singer Anna Waronker.
It's chock full of great pop rock (Redd kross style!) and includes Anna'a
version of "I wish you well" which she penned for the soundtrack to the hit
move "Josie and the Pussycats" Release date for the record is set for
August 2003.

News from Zip Records USA
Things are busy as usual at our bay headquarters in San Francisco. Coming
up for release is Mr pop -rock himself Kim Fowley's new project Sand. It's
a mixtures of swamp Texan blues with a little zz-top thrown in. A must for
Fowley fans...
We have also just released the new Rubinoo's record 'Crimes against music"
for the US market. this disc is a real tongue in cheek Rubinoo's as they
take 11 classic tracks and give them a lashing of power pop Rubinoo's style.
Check out there great pop cover of the Eurythmics Thorn in My side or the
cappella version of Brian Wilson's Hero's and Villain's.
And lets not forget the great new album "Ruminate" by Swedish pop group the
Virtues which has been getting great reviews from right around the world.
