Patrick,

I think the answer boils down to one word: SONY. To my understanding,
Redhead had only been available in its original format via the Web (thru
Aware) and at Bleu's shows. I think it was their way to gauge the potential
of his sales - Sony had issued the song "Somebody Else" last year as part of
the SPIDERMAN soundtrack CD (even though the song was nowhere found in the
movie), and before committing Redhead to a full regular street release, they
literally seemed to be test-marketing the music. I doubt it's a record
company versus artist drama, more like a comedy of errors. Of course we'd
have to ask Bleu himself to get the real story.

As far as the two songs, according to Gary Glauber they kick ass. I know
I'm buying it again. And it appears to be priced at a "try this new artist"
pricepoint, so it certainly won't be too painful to buy again. Hell, I'm
all for helping him get sales - it's not often that a major does foist
something worth listening to at an unsuspecting public. I will do my part
to help keep Bleu on Sony.
