Arthur was in physical pain Saturday night at the Fillmore. He apparently had fallen in the bath-tub and his right leg was so stiff he needed help getting up the stairs to the stage. In between songs, he asked "Can somebody do me a favor and let me borrow a right leg?"

There were times in the show that his vocals were thin and tired. But he also flashed his sense of humor, a really devious smile---and I felt like he gave the show everything he had. I compare this show to the first time I saw Brian Wilson perform with Jeff Foskett and the Wondermints---three years ago or so? Brian occasionally forgot lyrics and was picked up by Jeff. Arthur forgot a cue or two that Rusty Squeezebox picked up for him. And any of the difficulties that Arthur was experiencing, his band---and the orchestra--- picked him up and really came through.

While the show won't go down as my favorite of all time, I'd go see it again in a heartbeat. Well worth it.
