"Waste of time" -- it sure seems that way.  Every year the local rock 
critics do their obligatory Grammy pieces which come with their inevitable 
rants about what was not nominated.  Since the Grammys, like The Oscars, are 
industry propping events that will rarely go out on a limb, what's the point 
of saying that Wilco or The Flaming Lips should be nominated for album of 
the year -- it will never happen.
