David, et. al.,

I can answer this. The primary archive server [ www.mail-archive.com ]
has been down for the past 2 days due to technical (hardware) problems.
Jeff, the operator, is working on the problem - this affects hundreds
of list archives.

As a backup, try the Yahoo Groups site (registration required). Yahoo
limits the amount of storage so messages currently go back only as far
as 08/31/2001.

Smoe.ORG archives Audities posts from 1/23/03. The command "archive" may
be used to retrieve archived posts by email. For help, send an email to
<mj2@smoe.org> with the line "help archive" in the message body. There
are some good, concrete examples of using a combination of "archive-index"
(which gets you a list of postings) and "archive-get" (which is used to
retreive the messages.

Older message viewings will have to wait the return of mail-archive.com.
