Caught Adam Marsland's solo performance at the Sutler, located in the Berry
Hill section (mere blocks from Brad Jones' recording studio) of Nashville
last night.

Great show...Marsland knows how to work a crowd and has the most
aggressive/dynamic acoustic guitar style this side of Pete Townshend. Top
original tunes of the night: "Ludlow 6:18" and a beautiful take of
"Portland", backed by Marsland's equally dynamic piano playing. Cover tunes
included "God Only Knows" and two off-the-cuff readings of "Ring of Fire"
and "Folsom Prison Blues", dedicated to the recently departed June Carter
and surviving husband Johnny Cash.

The Luxury Liners were fun but when they brought up ex-member Chad Edgington
for the final song (SOUND AS EVER's "Think She's Coming Around"), it
underscored how much the guy is missed...the group came alive and his dual
harmonies with David Dewese are sorely missed.

NP: LUDLOW 6:18 by Cockeyed Ghost (Adam Marsland) and SOUND AS EVER by the
Luxury Liners
