Hey all,

If you're amongst the lucky and few who have the rare opportunity to see Mr.
Carpenter in the next week or so, I can heartily recommend it. A Tuesday
night show in Eugene is a rather Man-of-La-Mancha windmill tilting
undertaking even under ideal circumstances. This outting, on the heels of a
holiday weekend and battling a sound situation that plagued 60% of the set
(through no fault of his own) - Michael was poised, good humored and in
fine, fine voice. He played a lovely set of terrific 'guitar pop tunes'
selected from his 3 albums. To my delight he included his fine contribution
to the Gene Clark tribute "That's Alright By Me"

Though the initial turn-out was disappointing, Michael played on, and as he
continued the crowd grew. He chatted with the crowd amiably and was very
well received. I'd like to say that the show was crowded with the Eugene pop
cognescenti as Anna described the L.A. show. But if that's the case, we've
only got 3 or 4 members of the cognescenti here, and that's giving myself a
whole lot of credit. But there were lots of folks who just stopped into the
club, to see what who and what was going on there. I think that's one of the
fine things about clubs in a place like Eugene.

As well as the fine music, I had a wonderful time chatting with Michael's
wife Kelly (hope I spelled that right) and she helped reintroduce me to the
pool table. I can only say that Michael's generous personality and fine
musicianship is a guaranteed fine night of music and wonderful company. If
he comes to your town, don't let the opportunity slip by. Upcoming tour
dates available at www.mcarp.com.

Big thanks to Michael for making Eugene a stop on the tour and to Anna B.
for being such a fantastic diehard supporter and putting this together!

best,

craig
