David,
I remember catching the Poodles live for $2 in a 3.2 bar called Pogos in
Kansas City in about '79. They were part of a concert series called "Catch A
Rising Star" that showcased new/up and coming bands. I can't remember all of
the bands that played these $2 shows...but I'm fairly sure that Eddie money
was one of 'em...and I believe the Shoes....and possibly the Records also
took part.
Was this a KC only thing...or did other towns see the same offerings? Do any
of the KC contingent here remember/attend any of these shows?
And what about Parody Hall? Anyone remember how crazy that place could be?
Ah...."youth". Damn, what happened? LOL.
Pat
