as I was reading last month's issue of Uncut (my local Hastings store gets it a month after the official release date--when they get it at all), I noticed ads for a movie starring Slade called "Flame" or "Slade in Flame."
what's with this? IMDB basically says it is "bleak" and base on a fictional story of a band, fleshed out with details from the band's own experiences on the road -- a real life Spinal Tap, without the humor? a 70's version of "Almost Famous" focusing on the group, not the journalist?
amazon.co.uk has it, but in PAL with region 2 encoding. Anybody know of an NTSC region 1 release anytime soon. I know that US Slade fans are few and far between, but how popular were they in Canada? Is this a possibility for release up north?
Is this even worth my dreaming about, anyone who's seen it?
