I love the whole second side of "Today" - also very underrated is the
follow-up LP "Summer Days (and Summer Nights)" which despite a retreat back
to the old Fun/Surf/Girls formula, it has some of Brian's most
sophisticated productions.
The productions and arrangements of "Salt Lake City" and "Let Him Run Wild"
are among my favorites. I wish that Capitol with Mark Linett would put
together a stereo remix album of Today/Summer Days, if all the master tapes
exist. (The Unsurpassed Masters stereo mixes were quickly done by Dr Landy
and co, and have many vocal and instumental overdubs missing)

NP: The Thorns - does it sound to anyone else that Matthew sounds mixed
"out front" of Shawn and Pete? It was heartening to go to my Local Best Buy
and see several copies from the rack missing and hopefully sold.
