Can't imagine anything ever beating it!

The Beckies self-titled album, from 1976. The Beckies were the band
featuring Michael Brown as songwriter; certainly more rockin' than that to
which Brown fans had been accustomed, and to my ears his writing was as
sharp on this album as it ever had been.

I know several entities have wanted to reissue this album on CD, but because
Warners owns it (it originally came out on Sire when Sire was owned by ABC,
but was transferred to Warners when they bought out Sire's catalog),
nobody's been able to license it. The best candidate would be Rhino
Handmade; I've been dropping hints to them from time-to time. Hopefully
they'll bit one of these days.
