I just got done listening to a Festival Records (Australia) compilation/history CD set.
(Finally got a copy of Sherbert's "Howzat" on CD...!)

One track really stood out for me, a song called "Winter in America" by Doug Ashdown.
I'd never heard the track before, but it's very good literate, downbeat folk-pop...
Now I want to hear more...but it seems none of Ashdown's stuff is in print (maybe in
Australia, but not through places like Amazon, Gemm, etc.)

Can anyone fill me in on Ashdown. Was Winter in America a fluke, or is it representative
of his stuff? Seems he issued a significant number of LPs over his career. Which are worth
looking for?

Thanks,

dap
