The Montreal pop-rock band is not breaking up, but owing to the
confusion with the NZ band The Datsuns, have decided to change their
name to The High Dials. A new CD titled, A New Devotion, is scheduled
for July 8th on Rainbow Quartz Records. On the basis of their new
record, it is apparent that the band have evolved away from their
strictly retro-mod pop to embrace pop songwriting with "mid-to-late late
'60s spirit and groove, combined with cool atmospheric tangents and
varied arrangements". Check them out at NXNE 2003 in Toronto in early June.
