I just remembered a favorite that I think I must have seen maybe twice at
most. The second video from SPARKS IN OUTER SPACE was for "All You Ever
Think About Is Sex." You might remember that the cover of that album
features the Mael brothers dressed in black against a neutral background,
looking perfectly straight, bar the fact that Ron has just been hit in the
face with a cream pie. For the video, the band play the song utterly
straight on a soundstage, bar the fact that Ron is, over the course of four
minutes or so, smacked in the face with about two dozen cream pies. Video
nirvana.
