A bit belated, but here it is....
The May 2003 Fufkin.com page is up. This month we have the following record
reviews:
Mike Bennett presents full length reviews of The Cardigans, The Millions,
Michael Carpenter, Sukilove and Bobby Sutliff. Mike also has capsule
reviews of Andrew, The Rubinoos, The Finkers, Donovans Brain, The Sportsmen
(feat. Chris von Sneidern), Silent Kids, Vic Conrad, The Chains and The
Telepathic Butterflies).
Gary Glauber reviews The Joe Jackson Bands reunion album and The Contrast.
Rick Bilious reviews The Format, The Whereabouts and The Salteens.
Kurt Hernon discusses eating pizza with Jack and Meg White and breaks down
The White Stripes terrific new record, Elephant.
Mike Bennett looks at how Best Buy is killing record stores and wonders why
the record industry supports this.
Gary Pig Gold has got the top down and the stereo blasting tunes about cars.
He lists his all-time ten fave motoring raves.
Kurt Sampsel is a student of music, and his piece on rock music behind the
Iron Curtain in the 60s is very informative.
Eric Sorensons Further Observations From a Boomer Music Fan covers discs by
Bobby Sutliff, Sutliffs old band The Windbreakers, Phil Angotti, Michael
Carpenter and more.
The Rolling Stones Their Satanic Majesties Request classic or just an
excuse for some nifty 3-D cover art? More importantly, is it better than
Sgt. Peppers Lonely Hearts Club Band? Michael Lynch and Gary Pig Gold
discuss the merits of this unique platter.
Former Meat Puppet and current Eyes Adrift member Curt Kirkwood talks to
Robert Pally.
John M. Borack loves Cheap Trick. And in his column this month, he gives 20
reasons for his love.
Kevin Mathews rounds up a whole bunch of discs that came out in late 2002,
and sorts out the hits and misses.
We hope you all come and visit us, and please continue to stay tuned for the
upcoming redesign, which will make future visits even more informative and
rewarding.
