1. Nena - "99 Luftballoons" (US version with the extra "live onstage"
concert footage), because Nena's my favorite video rock girl ever.
2. Men Without Hats - "Safety Dance", Still "jaw-dropping fun" even
after the 10,000th time! It's just nuts! Everybody DANCE!
3. Cyndi Lauper - "Time After Time". (I'm such a sap.)
4. Pretenders - "Brass in Pocket", hokey? sure. cheesy? okay. But still,
it's THEM! (my heroes)
5. Talking Heads - "And She Was", pre-Ice Storm, pre-American Beauty,
100% heads suburban weirdness.
6. Squeeze - "Tempted"
7. Tears For Fears - "Everybody Wants To Rule The World", just perfect.
8. U2 - "Sunday Bloody Sunday" (live at Red Rocks) yup, me too.
9. R.E.M. ~tie~ "Stand" and "Shiny Happy People", they're both equally
frightening. Michael Mocks America!
10. Joan Jett and the Blackhearts - "Crimson and Clover", holy moly!
Garsh, thems were the daze.
