I had a feeling that this one might be "it" for them, but now it seems it's
well on the way--Mix 98.5, a hugely influential (and hugely irritating)
crossover-style station in Boston has put the song into heavy rotation. This
is the station that's widely credited with breaking the Barenaked Ladies in
the United States about 5-6 years ago.
It could be great for the band, though it's also a mixed blessing--BNL were
broken as the station's "House Band", a designation so vile (and one that
they _still_ use) that it's probably part of what caused the vicious
backlash.
Still, Bostonians should take a listen--at least someone realizes how great
this band (and this album) are. --Jason
