Hi. The following are artists/bands from whom I have bought stuff in the
past, that I like a lot, and would
recommend to everybody, but from whom I haven't heard for a long time.
Any info is very welcome!

- KYLE VINCENT - What is his most recent work?
- DEVIN HILL - I have two solo cd's, plus old band Dangtrippers. What
else?
- FIVE EASY PIECES - Excellent roots pop, bargain bin cd, never saw
anything else.
- THE RAVE-UPS - Any post bands? or archive material to be released?
- JAVELIN BOOT - What happened to them?
- THE DT'S - 'Widow of an all american' is one of my all time favorite
Not Lame buys. Never heard of them
again.
- THE SUBLIMINALS - Another great Not Lame find, also no news for a long
time.
- MYSTERY MACHINE - Canadian popsters that went from pedestrian noisy
rock to very good dreampop
tinged power pop. They were getting better with each new album. No news
since 'Headfirst'.
- ASA CRUZ - Despite their grungey looks on the cover, their music has
that old fashioned echoed 80's
production, with an anthemic, big rock feel maybe like Boston's first.
In fact, the first time I heard them, I
thought 'Mock Turtles meets Boston'... Their album is a huge favorite of
mine.
- STEPHEN CUMMINGS - Ex-The Sports, he became one of my favorite
Australian singer songwriters.
Last spotted on his '99 album 'Spiritual Bum'.

And from longer ago:

- THE OTHER KIDS - Another great Not Lame find. Wisconsin guys who mixed
the sweeter side of the
Replacements with a jangly, rootsier version of early U2 maybe.
- RIVER ROSES / 35 SUMMERS - Great Arizona band. Where have they gone?
- AFTER ALL - I have an excellent late 80's album, produced U2/Simple
Minds/REM vein canadian pop.
I've heard about new projects from one of the guys, but no details.
- THE CRYSTAL SET - Fine Australian 80's guitar pop, Steve Kilbey
related. In fact, in my opinion they
were the missing link between The Church and UK guitar pop from labels
like Creation, etc. I wonder if the
main guys are still in the music business.
- THE POPINJAYS - Another constant bargain bin sight, but one of my
favorite female pop from the past.
Where are them now?

Thanks!

Rafael.
